What do you do when...

What do you do when you're not doing Synthwave?

I reckon only a minority of us are actual full-time musicians. So what shenanigans do you get up to otherwise? What's your day job?

Personally, I work in advertisement, and when I'm not producing music in my free time, I'm spending time with my girlfriend and dog.

That's a good question !
Usually, I'm working as a independant sound and stage technician for live event. When I'm not doing or listening to music, I pet my cat, search for cooking recipes and spend time with my family and savor a large variety of beers !

I'm an editor. I have always loved writing and think it's a very complex art. There are so many layers involved, and writing well takes an immense amount of practice and effort. I also do some marketing and communications stuff, it's a creative job in a lax environment and I couldn't be happier.

When i'm not doing synthwave... i'm doing other genres xD i used to game a lot but now i just play Ableton

I also take care of the house with my roomate, we watch netflix, pet our 3 cats and eventually play rolegames. At the moment taking a break but i'm writing role system inspired in own lore with other friends from the role gang. Also writing a whole soundtrack for the game while the others prepare website and databases for new players to print and play.

I'm a full time machine operator by day. I'm still at home until my girlfriend and I can afford to get an apartment together. I live in the night and I can't be loud while my relatives sleep, so I invested heavily into listening to music and video games. Synthwave / Dark-synth will always be my escape. I've recently taken up music production of my own, so I've been trying to learn as much as I can.

To avoid being too personal in an open space, life circumstances put me in a place to be making a lot of music lol but when I'm not crafting endless music, I'm hanging out with family, chatting with friends, watching endless space documentaries and currently playing The Old Republic.
